About

AVDEA is a personal journalistic project exploring Dubai – an emirate defined by bold vision, strategic planning, and rapid innovation. Through stories and observations, it examines how Dubai’s leadership vision shapes everyday life – for its people and visitors, through infrastructure and institutions, and across economic and social development.

Adalberto Vasconcelos de Araújo – AVdeA

I am a Brazilian with German citizenship. After studying Business Administration in Germany, I worked as an IT business development professional, consultant, and lecturer at German universities of applied sciences. I am now officially retiring, but I do not plan to fully retire – I want to stay active, remain connected with people, and continue developing ideas and projects.

I initially visited Dubai in November 2025 for two weeks, but the city’s energy, work-life balance, and tangible leadership outcomes inspired me to stay longer. Dubai didn’t just impress me – it motivated me to return.

In February 2026, I spent the entire month in Dubai studying leadership, interpersonal communication, consumer management, philosophy and more – with the city itself serving as both my classroom and my teacher. No university in the world could have delivered such an immersive experience, one that profoundly shaped my personal and professional growth.

Through AVDEA, I share insights into this experience, which can serve as a reference until you have the opportunity to discover Dubai and the other Emirates yourself.
