DAMAC Vera Residences, apartment managed by GLOBALSTAY
I booked a one-bedroom apartment in Dubai’s Business Bay for seven days in November 2025 at DAMAC Vera Residences, managed by GLOBALSTAY Luxury Apartments.
The reservation was made through an global intermediary travel platform, with full payment charged to my credit card immediately, and the platform sent me a confirmation of booking. However, GLOBALSTAY later required copies of my passport before confirming the booking. This additional confirmation was not mentioned in the intermediary’s app or on its website. This unexpected requirement caused some initial frustration. I asked myself why they didn’t clearly inform guests upfront that reservations are only considered confirmed after identity verification. I felt there was a risk of losing my payment if the confirmation couldn’t be completed or if I chose not to provide the required documents. I had never encountered such a procedure before and found it unsettling. Although the intermediary states in its app and on its website that personal information, such as a passport or other identity documents, should not be shared, neither the intermediary nor the property administrator, GLOBALSTAY, seemed to take this guidance seriously.
Check-in was done without problem directly at the building’s lobby, where the passport was again required.
The apartment was well-equipped, allowing for a very comfortable stay, including the preparation of meals. Everything I used worked perfectly.
During my stay, occasional noise from other residents and nearby construction was minimal and only noticeable when the balcony doors were open. Once closed the doors of the balcony inside of the apartment was very quiet.
GLOBALSTAY (via WhatsApp) and the building staff were always polite and responsive.
The location of the building DAMAC Vera Residences is excellent.
A condominium with a supermarket and cafés is just a five-minute walk away, and the building is only minutes from Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Water Canal, and other iconic attractions. A bus and taxi station is conveniently located right in front of the building.
I recommend this apartment without hesitation. The unit itself is well-maintained, and the staff’s service is professional, friendly, and attentive, ensuring a very pleasant stay.
